Tandberg Television (TTV)
- introduction.
TTV EOL = End of Life concerning older products.
TTV has established a service for customers, and
TAURUS finds
this information of importance for our own clients.
The service makes it clear and makes a warning,
when an older product
is underway to become phased out of the large TTV
program.
In short we call it TTV EOL.
The TTV EOL is a file at the TAURUS side, and that
will become updated
and brought to our website,
whenever TTV tells
us about something in direction of EOL.
You have found this information on the TAURUS
website as one of the
main links called: Service Information.
In clicking this link you will open the TTV EOL
file.
In the file some abbreviations are used,
and unfortunately they are not
all too consistent! Some help:
LTB = Last time Buy
(comes in time before EOL)
EOL = End of Life
(the particular equipment is not for
sale any longer)
END = End
(means the same as EOL)
EOR = End of Repair
(giving idea about when TTV no longer
can repair
the particular equipment;
EOR = comes typically later than EOL or
just END.
EORL = End of Repair Life
(means the same as EOR)
EOSL = End of Service Life
(means the same as EOR)
In the TAURUS TTV EOL file the following entrances
have been given:
EORL_final (1); includes a larger range of encoders,
enc./modulators and IRDs
EOSL V4 AN; includes a larger range of encoders,
multiplexers, modulators
and IRDs
335ltb & end; includes EMR5540 - dual tuner
336ltb; includes TT6210 & TT6220 – signal conversion
(QPSK
to QAM)
345end; includes TT1420 - IRD
346end; includes PMRX – options for certain IRD
units
347end; includes TT1100 & TT1125 - IRDs
348end; includes TT1150 & TT1250 – IRDs
351ltb; includes TT4030 TS Analyzer
353end; includes TT6210 & TT6220, something extra
(see 336ltb & end above).
Yours sincerely
